Ending a casual dating relationship
Sometimes it is very clear from the beginning of the relationship that the relationship is not going anywhere.
“You have to know that things that happen like this are out of your control.” Life happens, and you have to put yourself first when it does. This reasoning isn’t always accurate, and it certainly isn’t good for your personal wellbeing in the wake of a breakup.Blaming yourself for the ending of this kind of romance won’t get you anywhere.I’ll close with a quote from our girl to sum things up: “We think that the point is to pass the test or overcome the problem, but the truth is that things don’t really get solved. Then they come together again and fall apart again. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, [and] for joy.” -Pema Chodron Happy Healing :).Deciding to End the Relationship Talking it Through Creating Space Community Q&A Ending a relationship, even a short-term relationship, can be difficult.
Maybe it’s actually all me, and I’m undatable, and I’m just protecting myself from that sobering reality by making it about something else slightly more in my control? I invite you to come up with your own…it’s more significant that way 🙂 4.
